Buddy Guy
The Review
Headlining the NYS Blues Festival this year was the 86-year-old legend Buddy Guy and band. Buddy came on stage at 9:30 and played for about one hour and 20 minutes for a huge, adoring crowd.
What a treat it was to have a master of the blues in top form visit our town again and be able to listen to the storyteller, philosopher, and blues guitarist like no other. His music reflects his philosophy about life, love, relationships, and the pursuit of the blues.
Ending the night, Buddy Guy and his band were joined by Buddy's son Greg Guy, a master blues guitarist himself, and singers and guitarists Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton.
