kicked off the night at the Iconic Rome Captiol Theatre. These guys are the opening band for Almost Queen and in fact also play in the Queen band as well. The crowd sang along all night and could be heard with whistles and shouts of “Yeah” through the show. The Steve Leonard Trio delivered a tight, blend of classic rock and amped up the crowd for Almost Queen.

The energy inside the Capitol Theatre was electric as the band delivered a high powered tribute to one of rock’s greatest bands. From the opening notes,the crowd was fully involved- singing at the top of their lungs,dancing in the aisles, and shouting along to the music. One of the most impressive parts of the night was that it wasn’t just an older generation in the crowd. The crowd also had a variety of young adults and teens there to enjoy the night. Queen fans reliving the glory days enjoying “classic rock” in the Historic Theatre in downtown Rome New York. The band for sure matched the energy of the crowd and had a great time performing in Rome. It almost felt like stepping back in time Rome residents and beyond came out to enjoy this show.
