April 19,2023 Crouse Hinds Syracuse NY hosted Brit Floyd. The band from United Kingdom formed in 2011. Upon entering the theatre you're welcomed by a huge screen on the stage. Around the screen is nothing but lights, and if you know anything about Pink Floyd they have probably one of the biggest laser light shows. All during the concert the screen was playing various videos, much to match the song being played. This six piece band was amazing, not to mention that it's the first concert i've seen where two sets of drums were being used. The three back-up vocal females did an amazing job, and one even sang the chorus of "Us & Them" . The band thanked the fans for coming out and said it was good to be back in Syracuse NY. Fifty Year celebration tour, besides the fact that the light show made it tough to see the band members at times it sure was a good one. Lots of claps, people whistling, and screams could be heard. The twenty minute or so intermission was much needed and Brit Floyd came back out and really amped up the show. These guys certainly held the best for last. Watching the light show made you feel like you were in a trance. The video screen was like being at the movies only the voices/talking were replaced with singing and instruments. Moments of fans holding cell phones in the air with their flashlights on.

The bassist touring with Brit Floyd is one of New Yorks very own. He's from Syracuse NY, has been in over a 1000 shows and over 40 countries. Plays multiple roles in the band as well from Chapman Stick,Bass,Lead Vocals,Fretless Bass. And very well at what he does as fans around the world would agree. From what i hear from those who have seen the “original band” say this is as close as you will ever get to "Pink Floyd". Roger Waters & David Gilmour would probably agree if they've ever seen Brit Floyd perform. The concert was about 2.5 hours long. Having been to many concerts i've not seen one single band play that long. Most bands play about 1:45 mins or so, these guys surely give you a show for your money!

If you're a fan of Pink Floyd, and they come to your area just go see the show. I don't care what you have going on that night, cancel your plans and get tickets. The band did an amazing job.
