The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC was a great venue that held the Dead South concert on 02/18/2024. The venue itself is very impressive. Not only do they have three bars from what I saw, but whenever any drinks or drops from drinks hit the floor the employees were right there to clean it up. There were two opening acts Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys who came out and instantly had a Buddy Holly vibe to them. From the look to the way he sang. Up next was the trio The Hooten Hallers. Each one of their members with great talent. You can hear a growl from the voice of John Randall, and a falsetto howl from Andy Rehm both are amazing. Then you have Kellie Everett on the baritone and bass saxophone which adds the right touch to the sound. Both acts did a great job and sounded amazing. But when Dead South came out with their folk-bluegrass sound, the crowd went wild.

From older songs to one's that are on their new album Dead South definitely had the crowds attention. I don't believe there was one song where I didn't here a hoot and holler or the stomping of feet. This was a great opportunity to not only Be there at the Fillmore but to hear the Dead South live.Pretty much the venue was great the chandeliers gave it a nice touch the, the sound was amazing in there and the employees are right there making things safe and the bands were all amazing and the Dead South Rocked.
