The Samantha Fish Bulletproof Tour 2024 with JD Simo proved it was bulletproof when it slid into Syracuse and the Westcott Theater on Saturday, March 23rd, at the tail end of a moderate to severe winter storm. That storm didn't stop them nor the fans from getting together for a few hours of great music.

JD Simo and drummer extraordinaire Adam Abrashoff opened the show and played for about hour or so. This duo hammered out tunes that combined a blues/funky/jazzy combo unique sound, with an emphasis on Jazz. JD Simo is amazing, a talent who blends expansive energy and playing style like no other. He's truly magical and will continue to evolve the music scene in the coming years. JD Simo Chicago born lives in Nashville, TN. Kansas City blues artist Samatha Fish and her stellar band entered the stage to a full house packed with her loyal fans. Playing her Cigar Box Guitar, she opened with - Bulletproof (Tangle Eye Mix) - + Setlist - Wild Heart - Better Be Lonely, Chills and Fever, Need You More, Watch It Die, Black Wind Howlin, Either Way I Lose, with Encore Bitch on the Run with JD Simo. As usual, changing guitars often, Samatha played and sang her soulful heart out like she's done for many years anytime she's on stage or in the studio. Just a great way to spend an evening out - with Samatha Fish and crew. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Carolyn Wonderland, Susan Tedeschi! She clearly, without any doubt, resides among this group of highly regarded female musicians.
